About
We are the Junior League of Oxford
We have been serving the Oxford/Lafayette and surrounding communities since 2022, seeking to improve the lives of women and children. Our members include community leaders, mothers, professionals, executives, and entrepreneurs. This diverse organization welcomes and celebrates women of all backgrounds as each member brings a unique perspective to our organization and enriches our League. The Junior League of Oxford reaches out to women of all identities who are 21 years of age and older and demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. Our current focus is on early literacy. We are partnering with several branches of First Regional Library and other community partners to promote literacy to children and their families.
Strength in Numbers
As one of hundreds of Junior League chapters across the world, we are a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI). Established in 2022 the Junior League of Oxford plays an integral part in the development, improvement, and support of the communities of Lafayette and surrounding counties.

Our Local Impact
We are partnering with First Regional Library to hold literacy fairs at the Sardis and Oxford branches for local children. We will host themed story times, games, crafts, and snacks to engage children in the magic of reading. In partnership with Square Books, Jr., we are collecting books to restock Little Free Libraries in the Sardis and Oxford areas. In addition we are exploring other organizations in need of donated children’s books. In partnership with Square Books, Jr. we are developing a Story Walk . Children and their grown ups will be able to experiienceand interact with a children’s book as they walk through the installation. If you’re interested in learning more about our current focus or developing your own civic leadership skills, we welcome you to learn more or connect with us.
